After the La Liga match against Athletic (3-1), Real Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane has responded when asked whether double scorer Karim Benzema is the best French forward of all time.
“In my opinion, yes. He proves it and has been playing for Real for a long time. He has played more than 500 games and scores a lot. His statistics speak for himself. To me, he’s the best and that’s obvious,” said Zidane to Marca.
“He’s become a more versatile player, he’s not just a ‘nine’ now. He’s not just thinking about goals, that’s why I love him.”
