From Project Restart’s latest round of testing the Premier League has recorded zero positive coronavirus results.

On Wednesday, June 17 top-flight action is due to come back which is exactly 100 days after the last Premier League match halted before the coronavirus pandemic.

These plans will only take place if government guidelines do not tighten, though, while the Premier League regularly conducts extensive club testing to ensure that there is no flare-up in the community of football.

According to Sky Sports News reports, the sixth round was tested by 1,195 players and staff and all have returned negative.

Out of a total of 6,274 tests have now been carried out by the Premier League, only 13 have not returned negative.

The news is another step towards returning to elite-level football, with Aston Villa vs. Sheffield United and Manchester City vs. Arsenal coming up first on June 17.
