The battle for the fourth and final Champions League spot still very much alive and Liverpool will travel to relegated West Bromwich Albion for a Premier League match on Sunday afternoon. West Brom’s relegation was confirmed last weekend with a 3-1 loss to Arsenal, while the Reds visit The Hawthorns after a dramatic 4-2 victory at Manchester United in midweek. Here is everything you need to know about West Brom vs Liverpool prediction and lineup.

WBA lineup: Johnstone; Ajayi, Bartley, O’Shea; Furlong, Yokuslu, Maitland-Niles, Gallagher, Townsend; Pereira; Diagne

Ainsley Maitland-Niles, who missed last match against his parent club Arsenal, has returned to West Brom.

Both Robert Snodrass and Branislav Ivanovic are unavailable for the Baggies, with the latter unlikely to return after the club’s relegation.

Sam Allardyce will revert to a back five for the visit of Liverpool, with Dara O’Shea taking his place.

Liverpool lineup: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Phillips, Williams, Robertson; Fabinho, Thiago, Jones; Salah, Firmino, Mane

The Liverpool squad that defeated Manchester United 4-2 on Thursday night willbe changed for a clash with WBA.

Sadio Mane is expected to return for Sunday’s match.

Curtis Jones will also make a bid to start in midfield for the visitors.

West Brom vs Liverpool Prediction

The Baggies are more difficult to beat with the coaching of Sam Allardyce yet the team is in the relegation zone. West Brom is already down and they have three games left to be played. They’ve won four of their last five home matches against Liverpool, and held them to a draw in the reverse fixture earlier in Allardyce’s reign.

Liverpool achieved their first victory at Old Trafford in seven years as the Reds defeated Manchester United 4-2 on Thursday night. They have a real chance to finish in the top four now, but they must win their remaining games.

Even though Williams and Phillips have been outstanding, the two inexperienced centre-backs lack the same aura as Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez, which West Brom will expect to exploit as they play without fear.

However, an in-form Liverpool has found their groove, and Klopp will be desperate to build on his bad record against Allardyce, so we can only back the Reds to win and close in on a top-four spot.

Our Prediction: WBA vs. Liverpool 1 – 3

Writing about football is one of my favorite things to do. As a football writer, I love the rush of being in the stadium on game day and watching all the action live. It's like no other feeling for me. I'm passionate about writing about it, but until recently I've been doing it as a hobby rather than a profession.
