Three more cases of Coronavirus have been identified in the Italian U-21 team, announced by FIGC.

“Two players and a member of the staff of Italy U-21 team currently in Reykjavik for the Euro qualifier match against Iceland scheduled for tonight, have tested positive for Coronavirus after yesterday’s swab tests undergone upon our arrival at the airport,” the statement reads.

“One footballer has symptoms and is being constantly monitored by the medical staff of the National team. The other two have a lower viral load and have already had another swab to have further confirmation of the diagnosis.”

“The whole group that arrived in Iceland yesterday had tested negative for COVID after three different swab tests in Italy.”

“The FIGC promptly contacted UEFA and the local health authorities to evaluate the further steps that need to be taken. New information will be communicated in the coming hours.”

Writing about football is one of my favorite things to do. As a football writer, I love the rush of being in the stadium on game day and watching all the action live. It's like no other feeling for me. I'm passionate about writing about it, but until recently I've been doing it as a hobby rather than a profession.
