Thomas Tuchel studied the remarkable 2-1 win of Paris Saint-Germain over Atalanta in Lisbon on Wednesday.

Despite the club’s injury list, Paris Saint-Germain head coach Thomas Tuchel said anything is possible, in pursuit of the Champions League victory.

Since 1995, PSG reached their first Champions League semi-final on Wednesday after shocking Serie A entertainers Atalanta 2-1 in a thrilling comeback in Lisbon.

Without Marco Verratti and Angel Di Maria, and with Kylian Mbappe struggling for full fitness, PSG looked set to exit Europe’s leading club competition in the quarter-final stage once more after Mario Pasalic’s first-half opener.

Yet the 90th-minute equalizer of Marquinhos and the three-minute winner of Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting in stop time shattered the hearts of Atalanta and set up a semi-final clash against either Atletico Madrid or RB Leipzig.

Nonetheless, PSG lost goalkeeper Keylor Navas to second-half injury and Tuchel told post-match reporters (via Youtube): “We trust everyone in the squad. We’ve worked hard and this squad is ready to play three games.”

“We can achieve that even with a slightly reduced team. But playing with or without Kylian Mbappe is a big difference, the same for Marco and Angel.”

“We have six days to allow [Mbappe] to get back to his best level. Marco, I’m not sure yet. We had another injured player today, Keylor Navas.”

“We’re in the last four teams. We’ll see. We’ll stay positive and focused. Anything’s possible.”
