Across three Premier League clubs, six positive coronavirus tests were conducted on Sunday and Monday, as the top flight prepares to resume in June, according to BBC.

The players and staff are still incognito and will now isolate themselves for seven days.

Another result will be declared on Saturday, this will include the rest of the clubs who conducted their tests on Tuesday. Until now 748 players and staff from 19 clubs have been tested in total.

From Tuesday, squads begin non-contact training.

With the remaining 92 fixtures, the Premier League has been suspended due to the Covid-19 pandemic, since March 13.

Earlier, June 12 was the date for matches restart, but now there is an expectation that this will need to be pushed back.

“The Premier League provides this aggregated information for the integrity and transparency of the competition. No specific details as to clubs or individuals will be provided by the league and results will be made public in this way after each round of testing,” it said in a statement.
