Richarlison, a Tottenham attacker, had to be replaced against Everton on Saturday due to a calf injury.

The Brazilian required medical attention after collapsing early in the second half of the Premier League match against his previous team, and he was replaced by Yves Bissouma after 52 minutes. When Richarlison left the field, he proceeded to walk directly down the tunnel.

As the World Cup draws near, the attacker will be praying the injury is not too severe. Prior to his setback, it appeared more likely that the 25-year-old may assume a starting role for Brazil in their roster for the tournament in a month.

It’s sort of hard to explain since it’s close to the realization of my dream, Richarlison said in tears as he discussed the injury with ESPN Brasil. I’ve already experienced a similar injury, but I’m hoping I can recover quickly. When I was at Everton previously, I missed around two months of action.

We don’t know, we hope it’s not too bad, Spurs coach Antonio Conte said following the game. He sensed an issue in his calf. Tomorrow, he will get an MRI to better grasp the issue; we hope it is not significant.

Conte will be hoping Richarlison’s injury is not serious so he can use him in the match against Manchester United on October 19 at Old Trafford. The manager did admit, though, that it doesn’t seem good for that particular game after the game.
