Three cases of coronavirus infection has been reported in the Uruguayan national team.

Tests for COVID-19 resulted in positive for forward Luis Suarez (Atletico) and goalkeeper Rodrigo Muñoz (Cerro Porteno) as well as team member Mathias Faral.

This means that players won’t be able to take part in the World Cup 2022 qualifying match against Brazil.

La Liga games against Barcelona, Valencia will be missed by Suarez and in the Champions League, he will probably not play against Lokomotiv.

Writing about football is one of my favorite things to do. As a football writer, I love the rush of being in the stadium on game day and watching all the action live. It's like no other feeling for me. I'm passionate about writing about it, but until recently I've been doing it as a hobby rather than a profession.
