Southampton may reportedly be in a position where they have to make several player sales, during the next transfer window.

With nine games left the Saints are currently seven points clear of the relegation zone, placing the club in a good spot when it comes to maintaining their top-flight status.

However, behind-the-scenes issues may lead to a number of key men being offloaded from the South-coast outfit, according to the Daily Star.

For the club’s 80 percent stake, owner Jisheng Gao is keen to find a buyer even though it means selling it at a cut-price fee, claims reports.

Southampton will have to collect funds by splitting some of its most valuable properties, it is rumored if this does not materialize.

Danny Ings, Nathan Redmond, and James Ward-Prowse will all fall into that category, as will Ryan Bertrand who is left on his contract for just over a year.
