As Son Heung-min returned to the club ahead of time a boost was allegedly handed to Tottenham Hotspur ahead of their clash with Manchester City.

Son has been away with South Korea on international duty and took part in the 2-1 victory over Qatar on Tuesday.

There were worries that the 28-year-old would have to self-isolate in his homeland after a coronavirus epidemic in the South Korean team.

However, with Spurs lay on a private jet, Son checked negative and was granted permission to travel back to Britain, announced the Evening Standard.

Writing about football is one of my favorite things to do. As a football writer, I love the rush of being in the stadium on game day and watching all the action live. It's like no other feeling for me. I'm passionate about writing about it, but until recently I've been doing it as a hobby rather than a profession.
