The first leg of the Europa League 1/16 final against Real Sociedad (4-0) has been summed up by Manchester United head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

“We scored some great goals and played well. We deserved to win, but maybe not by four goals,” Solskjaer told BT Sport.

“We can be a very dangerous team when we are given free space. We defended well, put some great players on the attack – and thus earned the right to have quick counterattacks. They opened up and we found the spaces we needed.”

“Every team attacks you in one way or another. It is important to be able to find free zones [and counterattack].”

“We are still learning, it’s a work in progress, so we haven’t managed to win every game recently.”

Writing about football is one of my favorite things to do. As a football writer, I love the rush of being in the stadium on game day and watching all the action live. It's like no other feeling for me. I'm passionate about writing about it, but until recently I've been doing it as a hobby rather than a profession.
