Lazio put in a spirited performance, going ahead in the first half through Immobile before concentrating on fending Milan off.
But, Milan has broken Lazio’s heart by snatching a vital win right at the death.
Despite Olivier Giroud’s equaliser, the hosts would hold on for a draw until Sandro Tonali popped up in injury time to give Milan all three points.

GOAL! LAZIO 1-2 AC MILAN! Tonali has broken Lazio’s resistance! Rebic steals the ball from Marusic, and Milan cross into Lazio’s box. However, the defensive header is a tired one, and Ibrahimovic nods the ball on to Tonali, who bundles it over the line past the outstretched glove of Strakosha.
So, what’s next?
Milan extends their unbeaten run in Serie A to 12 games then and retakes the lead at the top for now. However, this title race is going to go down to the wire.
Lazio will travel to face Spezia on Saturday night.
Meanwhile, Milan will host Fiorentina in Serie -A.
