Napoli climbs to the top of the Serie A table maintaining their unblemished start with a 4-0 match score victory away at Udinese. Victor Osimhen took the lead hitting the opening goal in the 24th minute, but Napoli’s goal was all about Lorenzo Insigne.
The captain of the Azzurri raced down the left flank and beat Marco Silvestri with a lob, but Osimhen assisted by touching the ball just before it crossed the line. Luciano Spalletti’s side made it look so easy despite facing an unbeaten team prior to tonight’s match.
Fabian Ruiz hit the post from long range with a sided-foot effort. Amir Rahmani doubled the Partenopei’s lead just 10 minutes before halftime in 35th minute, by heading the ball into an empty net from a corner kick action. Silvestri saved a shot from Koulibaly before he found the back of the net from another set-piece.
Insigne delivered the cross, and Fabian Ruiz found the defender in space, allowing Koulibaly to score at the far post. After Silvestri prevented André Zambo Anguissa from scoring his first goal in a Napoli shirt, Hirving Lozano finished the job for the Azzurri with a curler from inside the box into the far post.
There was still time for Udinese to score, but David Ospina palmed Ignacio Pussetto’s shot wide. Napoli won the first four Serie A games for the first time in their history. They will play Genoa at the Stadio Ferraris on Thursday before hosting Walter Mazzarri’s Cagliari on Sunday. Watch football highlights as Napoli secures away victory against Udinese in Serie A match.
