Cadiz is back in La Liga for the first time since 2006 after Real Oviedo beat Real Zaragoza 4-2 on Sunday.
On Sunday Alvaro Cervera’s team lost the opportunity to win promotion as it lost to Fuenlabrada 1-0 at home. Nevertheless, the defeat of Zaragoza the next day placed Cadiz in the automatic positions of the second tier with a seven-point gap, with two matches remaining.
Due to their strong performance in head-to-head matches versus Huesca, who is ranked second, Cadiz only requires one point to win the title.

The success of the club this campaign was based on the 12 midfield goals of Alex Fernandez and the uncompromising defensive work of Alfonso Espino and Isaac Carcelen.
The veteran striker Alvaro Negredo will join Cadiz for their return to La Liga, team president Manolo Vizcaino announced on Sunday.
With matches versus Albacete and Girona, Cadiz completes their league season.
