Real Madrid had to forget this match as they played for a draw 1-1 with Osasuna and this brought an end to their 8th match win through all the competitions. A sloppy penalty miss by Karim Benzema resulted in a draw even after facing 10 opponents in the last 12 minutes. Madrid sits at the 2nd spot right after Barcelona for goal difference. They remained unbeaten in this season of La Liga. Vinicius Junior pulled the opening with a goal but soon Kike Garcia came with a header to the goal post. Benzema lost the opportunity for 3 points as his penalty ruined everything for Madrid.

The Performing Side:

Vinicius Junior: Right before the interval, this Brazilian winger was after the most difficult moments of the first half and offered Real Madrid the goal which was needed.

Kike Garcia: Andriy Lunin was left with no choice as Kike Garcia slammed an amazing header and won the equalizer shortly after the second half started.

Barcelona: The Blaugrana did move to the first position after a challenging win at Mallorca on Sunday. Now it seems like they will have another week at the summit as Real Madrid suffered a setback on their home soil.

The Losing Side:

Dani Ceballos: Dani Ceballos by offering the start alongside Aurelien Tchouameni and Toni Kroos did not make a potential difference in the game. He was withdrawn just after the 8th minute in the second half began.

Karim Benzema: Making his return back to the starting XI, there was no difference that he could make in this game. He was also sighted slightly off with his pace, trying his efforts didn’t work. Missing the penalty could have won the game but maybe there’s another day for Benzema.

David Garcia: Garcia left his team in danger of weighing 2-1 in the second half as he took his attack on Benzema inside the box. This is the time when a show of Red Card appeared by the referee.

The Defence:

Andriy Lunin: Andriy Lunin shows up as the goalkeeper when Thibaut Courtois was injured for the game and had to take a header by Kike Garcia.

Dani Carvajal: Dani faced a challenging time while defending as the Osasuna side looked to get past him which also caused him to substitute his position to Mariano Garcia.

Antonio Rudiger: Right along with David Alaba, Antonio showcased the best defense in the game.

David Alaba: Showcasing his skills with the forward attacks, he was seen moving front with a lot of skillful passing.

Ferland Mendy: Even after many efforts made, Osasuna was able to get cut through and charge towards the goal. Mendy also helped Real Madrid with strategic attacks on the left flank.
