Atalanta has been described as a “dangerous squad” by Real Madrid director Emilio Butragueno, who also declines to comment on Cristiano Ronaldo’s possible return.
“The Bernabeu is the Bernabeu, but we have to play here, be effective and realise this is the reality,” Butragueno told Sky Sport Italia of playing at their Valdebebas training ground, the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano.
“Atalanta are a dangerous team who attack with numerous players and have many options to score. It’ll be an open game with two great teams and the result could be very open, so we’ll see what happens.”
The Real Madrid chief was also asked about the on-going reports that Cristiano Ronaldo could leave Juventus for a return to Spain.
“We’ll see, in half-an-hour, we are playing practically a final, one of the most important games of the season. All our energy has to be on this match and booking our spot in the quarter-final draw.”
