The Belgian international Radja left Roma after a clash with the then Director of Sports Monchi. Now regrets leaving Roma as he feels that he might still have had his say with Inter – “I have let pride get the best of me.” He only lasted one season in San Siro before he was frozen.

In an Instagram Live chat with tennis champion Fabio Fognini, Nainggolan said that he left his heart in Rome, as that was a unique experience. “Unfortunately, I let pride get the better of me and that made me change clubs.”

31-year-old met Luciano Spalletti at Inter, but things changed when Antonio Conte took over.

It wasn’t the best of Nainggolan at Inter as he says “I went to Inter with a coach who really wanted me there. I arrived with so much enthusiasm, then I got injured and had some problems. Looking at the statistics, I can be satisfied, even if I can do better.”.

“I did still hope to be given another chance, but that didn’t happen. It’s a decision I have to accept. I have another two years on my contract with Inter, we’ll see what happens, as so much has changed at the club. I still believe that I can have my say at Inter. I never had any problems in the dressing room, despite what’s reported.”
