PSG has so far begun its hunt for his successor Thiago Silva who is going to leave PSG which he joined in 2012. In September the central defender is going to turn 36. The French champion has decided not to renew his contract with the Brazilian stopper.
Catalan Sport reports that PSG is looking for Barcelona’s Samuel Umtiti as a replacement.
Umiti became a world champion in 2018 at the World Cup in Russia who debuted for France in 2016.
The French stopper will not mind going back to his homeland as Barcelona is ready to sell him due to the economic issues.
PSG will allegedly offer EUR 30 million to the 26-year-old footballer, five more than Barcelona paid to Lyon four years ago. Before the coronavirus pandemic, the Catalans demanded around € 50 million for it, with Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Napoli and Inter showing interest in PSG.
