PSG and Chelsea fight for 20 years old transfer. Rafa Marin of Real Madrid Castilla is expected to face off against Chelsea and PSG over a new deal after the young player declined to sign with the Spanish powerhouse. The 20-year-old is regarded as a “diamond” in the club’s academy and has performed well for Real Madrid’s youth team, but he hasn’t yet made an appearance for the main team.

Marin has yet to even be selected to Carlo Ancelotti’s replacements bench in the 2022–23 season, despite the club’s insistence that he will have an opportunity to play in the team. Due to this, the player is hesitant to commit his future to the team at the Santiago Bernabeu, and Chelsea is hoping to take advantage of the circumstance by swooping in. The Blues’ recruitment strategy has changed from acquiring seasoned pros to acquiring young players that the Premier League team can grow with time.

The additions of Marc Cucurella and Wesley Fofana over the summer are two examples of this. There may be more such purchases in January, with Marin being one of the targets, as manager Graham Potter also supports emerging talents in his team. PSG, who is also interested in the Spaniard but plans to sign him after his contract expires next summer, could be a challenge for the Pensioners.

Thomas Tuchel was replaced as manager of Chelsea by Graham Potter in September, but considering the team’s dismal recent performance, Potter’s job already seems to be in jeopardy. Potter oversaw just two victories in the following eight games after winning five of his first six matches in charge, both of which came in the UEFA Champions League against Red Bull Salzburg and Dinamo Zagreb. The Blues have dropped their previous three contests before the current FIFA World Cup break.

For the first time since 2012, Chelsea has gone five Premier League games without a victory. In the Premier League, Chelsea has gone five games without a victory—their worst streak since 2012—and has fallen to ninth place. Additionally, Manchester City eliminated them from the Carabao Cup in the third round. Potter will be eager to turn around his team’s woes and restart their season before they face newly promoted Bournemouth on December 27.
