Ex-Arsenal star Robert Pires has declared his willingness to become a short-term head coach.
The 46-year-old is not currently exercised as a full-time coach, but throughout the last few seasons, he has done work supporting the Gunners.
“There are some who made the decision to become a coach or sports director or a consultant,” said Pires in an interview with Moroccan journalist Zineb El Houari.
“I’ve taken that route and it still allows me to be in football. But, I think coaching is a great job, even if it’s hard on a daily basis. I think I’ll decide to take the coaching diplomas in the years to come, and I’m planning to do it in Spain.”
“I can’t say which team I will be coaching for. I can’t choose honestly. If you’re a coach you can’t know where you are going.”
“I can tell you I’m going to train Arsenal, Metz, Reims, Marseille, or Villarreal but I can’t. It’s complicated today.”
