I can’t stand fake crowd noise compared to “American comedy shows with laugh tracks,” claimed Watford boss Nigel Pearson.

He said: “What we have to do is just handle with the situation, our stadium is going to be the same as any other stadium-without fans.”

“It’s a real shame, let’s be frank, the game is for supporters. Having our fans here would be nice, but they aren’t so it’s the way you’re able to deal with the situation.”

“Our players will hopefully be able to isolate all of the emotional sides of it and deal with a sterile environment.”

“I don’t know if you really like American comedy shows, I can’t stand them with a canned laugh-so we don’t want to create an environment where the atmosphere is fake.”

“We have to try to win as many games as possible and deal with an unusual set of conditions every club faced.”

Writing about football is one of my favorite things to do. As a football writer, I love the rush of being in the stadium on game day and watching all the action live. It's like no other feeling for me. I'm passionate about writing about it, but until recently I've been doing it as a hobby rather than a profession.
