Paul Pogba out for 8-10 weeks due to injury

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has suffered an injury while on international duty with France national team. Pogba will now be out for between eight to ten weeks following his thigh injury, according to RMC Sport football news. Ahead of the FIFA World Cup qualifier against Kazakhstan and Finland Pogba withdrew from the Didier Deschamps’ squad after pulling up during training on Monday.

If unavailable to manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for two months, the Frenchman will miss on United’s remaining Champions League group F games against Villarreal and Young Boys as well as a busy domestic Christmas schedule. Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has withdrawn from the France squad due to an injury sustained in training on Monday, confirmed the football club reports. 

The France team tweeted: “Paul Pogba has suffered an injury to the quadriceps of the right thigh and is forced to miss the next two matches. To replace him, Didier Deschamps called on Jordan Veretout.” The French Football Federation said the 28-year-old, was the “victim of an injury to the quadriceps of the right thigh”.

Pogba is already unavailable for United’s Premier League game at Watford on November 20 as he completes a three-game ban following his red card against Liverpool on October 24. Manchester United midfielder would be eligible to play in the month’s other fixtures against Villarreal (23 November) and Chelsea (28 November).

United confirmed: “Paul Pogba has been released from the French national team following a thigh muscle injury sustained in training. He will return to Manchester for treatment and further evaluation.”
