Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has expressed his feelings on the 1-0 win over Burnley.
“We know today’s game was very hard, very difficult, and obviously we wanted to win. It’s not an easy game to play here. We took three points and we’re very happy with that, but there’s a long way to go. And we will focus on finishing the season,” said the player to .
“VAR? Of course it’s hard [to accept], but you have to be professional. We knew it wasn’t going to be easy because of the referee’s decision, which I didn’t agree with. But I’m not the boss on the pitch. We needed to calm down, concentrate. We scored and we won.”
“Maguire’s goal – I don’t know what happened, it was a clean goal, a beautiful goal. And the referee decided it didn’t happen. It was a strange decision. But we got the result we needed and we are happy.”
“You saw that the game was going both ways, it is very hard to play here. They have a style of play, a very strong team, and we knew it would be difficult. We had to stay calm and just focus on ourselves and hope that the goal would come – and it did. Everyone showed a great game.”
“I’m always happy when I win – today we won and I’m glad we played well. There is still a long way to go and we have big matches ahead so we need to focus on them.”
