Paris Saint-Germain is getting close to a decision on Kylian Mbappe’s new contract, sports director Leonardo has disclosed to the club.
Paris Saint-Germain’s sporting director has said that negotiations over a new contract for Kylian Mbappe must come to a conclusion soon.
In the event that new terms cannot be negotiated PSG will need to approve a move this close-season in order to prevent losing Mbappe for free.
Even though Leonardo acknowledges that it would be important to draw a conclusion prematurely, he remains relaxed about the ongoing negotiations.
“On Kylian Mbappe’s contract, we’ve been talking for a long time,” the Brazilian told France Bleu.
“Before, it was mainly to be clear about our position and what we want. There, I think we are getting to the point where we must take a position and a decision.”
“We have a good opening of dialogue.”
