Turkish international Ozan Kabak has agreed on a new loan deal with Norwich City from Schalke. Last season he played with Liverpool on loan and has made a total of 13 appearances. Schalke center-back, Kabak has joined Norwich City on a season-long loan.

The transfer news was confirmed on Monday by Daniel Farke’s men, with the newly-promoted side holds the option to buy in the next term for  £12 million (€14 million) at the end of the 2021-22 season. The 21-year-old joins a growing list of Norwich City signings as the club looks to retain its Premier League status.

In the previous season, Kabak spent the other half of the season at the Reds, where he featured 13 times in all competitions due to a lack of center-backs. Kabak told the club’s official website upon joining Norwich on loan: “I’m very happy to be a part of this family. I’m looking forward to playing in front of the fans and getting some points.”

“I spoke with the head coach and I’m really impressed by his project and what he said to me. I believe in him and his project. I played in the Premier League last year and I really enjoyed it. So, I want to play again and that’s why I’m here. I want to play in the Premier League and to give something to the team. I’m looking forward to playing in front of the fans with this jersey. We will work hard to get some wins and take some points to make our fans happy.”

On this football news, Norwich head coach Daniel Farke said, according to Sky Sports: “We’ve always spoken about our desire to add to our defensive options. “We’re delighted that it was possible to bring Ozan Kabak in. He’s a player full of potential with a great reputation. We were delighted to be able to bring him in, as there was a lot of competition for his signature. He is highly regarded by many clubs across Europe.”

Writing about football is one of my favorite things to do. As a football writer, I love the rush of being in the stadium on game day and watching all the action live. It's like no other feeling for me. I'm passionate about writing about it, but until recently I've been doing it as a hobby rather than a profession.
