Oleksandr Zinchenko has hailed the abilities of Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus after Arsenal’s fast start to the new Premier League season.

One of Mikel Arteta’s key summer acquisitions, the 25-year-old moved from Manchester City to the Emirates Stadium this summer.

Along with Jesus, another colleague who chose to leave Premier League winners City for Arsenal.

Zinchenko has made an immediate impact and was crucial in victories over Crystal Palace and Leicester.

Martinelli has also demonstrated his abilities in both games, scoring in each.

While Jesus was in inspired form against Leicester.

The Brazilian netted twice – his first goal a sumptuous curled finish into the top corner – and he could conceivably have scored four or five were it not for good saves from Leicester goalkeeper Danny Ward.

Zinchenko has endorsed “genuine diamond” Martinelli to become a major celebrity in the future and is not astonished by what he has observed about Jesus.

The Ukrainian also discussed what it’s like to face off against Kieran Tierney for a starting spot after stepping into Scot’s left-back spot for the opening two games.

How good could Martinelli be?

“He is incredible; he is a real diamond,” Oleksandr Zinchenko told Standard Sport. “I would say precisely the same things about him that I speak about Gabriel Jesus.

“The way these two guys are working — how everyone is working every day is unbelievable. He (Martinelli) has amazing quality and is still young. I am pretty sure he has an unbelievable future.”

What does Jesus bring to Arsenal?

“I never had any doubts about him because he’s a world-class player in terms of his numbers,” Zinchenko said.

“You can see it also in how he works with his attitude daily in training. He’s an example. He’s an incredible player, always hungry for goals. He doesn’t stop, and I’m so happy for him.”
