According to reports, Neymar twisted his ankle during Brazil’s 2-1 victory against Serbia in the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Richarlison scored twice, with the Selecaos’ outstanding second goal sealing the victory. However, Tite’s team had a serious fright when superstar No. 10 hobbled off the pitch clutching his face in agony.

There were echoes of the 2014 World Cup. On that particular occasion, Neymar’s horrific back injury occurred during the quarterfinal match against Colombia, ending his participation in the competition. His injuries appear to be less severe, though. At this moment, there is no information on a potential absence timeline. The famous No. 10 has participated in 12 matches for Brazil so far during the FIFA World Cup. He has contributed three assists and six goals to the Selecaos.

Alongside Neymar and Richarlison, Vinicius Jr. started the offensive phase for Brazil. The Real Madrid superstar was to start the match alongside the Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) striker, as requested by Brazilian great Ronaldo. According to him, Tite will have to select the top three players out of a possible six for the starting XI. But he or any coach would welcome that headache. Neymar Jr. will undoubtedly get the start. He is in frightening form for his club, and he ought to be fit for the World Cup. That is the most crucial element.

His talent was always without a shadow of a doubt. I think he’s prepared to take it all the way. I believe Tite has now selected his starting lineup. He would, however, be willing to introduce anyone. Given the form Vini is in for Real Madrid, in my opinion, he ought to be chosen. But it’s challenging. The coach will need to consider his structure when he chooses players, as well as the team’s needs and the opponent’s weaknesses. Brazil’s second Group G matchup against Switzerland is scheduled for November 28. On December 3, they will play against Cameroon in their penultimate group match.
