Star footballer Neymar of the Paris Saint Germain (PSG) club has said and confirms that his new contract with the club is almost complete. Amid suggestions to settle in the French capital, Neymar was linked with a return to LaLiga either with Barca or Clasico rivals Real Madrid.

Neymar has been battling injuries for most of the time since joining PSG. His ongoing contract with the club is set to end next season. But now Neymar confirms that he has agreed to sign a new PSG contract.

Neymar confirmed such an extension is almost done to prolong a stay at a club where he feels at home. “We are in talks with PSG. There is no hurry. Almost everything is settled. I feel like at home. I am very happy with Paris Saint Germain,” Neymar told RMC.

Recently, the Brazilian was reported saying he wants to halt the PSG contract extension as he wishes to play with Lionel Messi.

“Regarding the supporters, what I expect the most is that they are back at the stadium so that we can feel them close to us, to support us and that they are there to cheer us on all the players in every game,” he added.

Brazilian star player Neymar left Barcelona in 2017 and joined PSG for a 222 million euro transfer fee. However, there were reports that Neymar was struggling to stay in PSG and that he could join Real Madrid or move back to Barcelona.

This season, Neymar has scored six goals and three assists in 14 Ligue 1 appearances. He has also created 38 chances but he thinks he is in the best form of his PSG tenure.

Writing about football is one of my favorite things to do. As a football writer, I love the rush of being in the stadium on game day and watching all the action live. It's like no other feeling for me. I'm passionate about writing about it, but until recently I've been doing it as a hobby rather than a profession.
