Former manager Pep Guardiola was impressed by Barcelona’s president, Joan Laporta’s re-election.
Joan Laporta received congratulations from Pep Guardiola on his election as president of Barcelona and the City boss hopes he will restore the club’s positive vibes.
Laporta previously served as president of Barcelona from 2003 to 2010, during which time he hired Guardiola as head coach in 2008, kicking off a remarkable streak of success.
“All I can say is that it was a lovely journey,” said Guardiola when he was asked about Barca’s election according to the Marca.
“All three options were there, they did a good job and I congratulate the president to be elected by a big margin.”
“I’m pretty sure his personality will introduce a good mood, a lot of optimism in the club and all the country.”
“I wish him all the best for the season and the next seasons.”
