Liverpool joins the race to sign midfielder Sander Berge

Liverpool is also interested in signing Sander Berge, whom Jurgen Klopp sees as an ideal – and affordable – replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum, according to Eurosport.

Reports state that Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur race to sign Sheffield United midfielder Sander Berge now has been accompanied by Liverpool.

Due to a hamstring injury, Berge hasn’t played since December, and he may have already played his last game for United, who are relegating to the Championship.

The Norwegian international from Genk arrived at United for a club-record fee of £22 million last summer, but he has only made 13 appearances for the Blades.
