On Sunday afternoon Premier League match Tottenham Hotspur will seek to make it three victories when they will meet Newcastle United. Before the international break Spurs beat Aston Villa 2-1, putting them in seventh place in the table with 12 points from their first seven games. Here is everything you need to know about Newcastle United vs Tottenham football prediction for the Premier League match of the season.

Team news

Newcastle United

Due to an injury to Paul Dummett, Joe Willock, Callum Wilson, Jamaal Lascelles, Martin Dubravka, and Freddie Woodman will be evaluated in the hopes of making the team.

Miguel Almiron will play for Paraguay and will miss Tottenham’s visit.

The home crowd should be in a good mood after Mike Ashley sold the club over the international break.

Tottenham

Davinson Sanchez, Giovani Lo Celso, Cristian Romero, and Emerson Royal all represent their respective countries too close to the game on Sunday and are therefore unavailable, with the latter duo’s absence a major blow.

While Japhet Tanganga is expected to start at right-back Tottenham’s Joe Rodon is anticipated to fill in at center-back.

Steven Bergwijn and Ryan Sessegnon will not go to Newcastle, although Ben Davies is expecting to play some part despite being ill.

Newcastle United vs Tottenham prediction

Mike Ashley sold Newcastle to Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund during the international break. Following a disappointing September Tottenham started the month with a 2-1 win over Aston Villa.

Spurs have won five of their last seven visits to St. James’ Park, and will be confident of winning for the second time in a row.

Newcastle is one of four clubs yet to win a league match this season, and that streak might continue on Sunday, especially with Steve Bruce’s future at the club still up in the air.

Writing about football is one of my favorite things to do. As a football writer, I love the rush of being in the stadium on game day and watching all the action live. It's like no other feeling for me. I'm passionate about writing about it, but until recently I've been doing it as a hobby rather than a profession.
