On Sunday evening at the Puskas Arena, the Netherlands face the Czech Republic in the last-16 stage of Euro 2020, where they have probably exceeded expectations under Frank de Boer. The Netherlands breezed through Group C to reach the knockout stages, while the Czech Republic qualified for the elite 16 as one of the four best third-placed teams. Here is all you need to know about Netherlands vs Czech Republic prediction and lineup for Euro 2020 last 16 match.

Team news

Netherlands lineup: Stekelenburg; De Vrij, Blind, De Ligt; Dumfries, De Jong, De Roon, Van Aanholt; Wijnaldum; Depay, Weghorst

Due to injury, Luuk de Jong will be absent from the rest of the tournament.

Frank de Boer seemed to have settled on his best starting XI after winning their group with a perfect record.

Czech Republic lineup: Vaclik; Coufal, Celustka, Kalas, Mateju; Holes, Soucek; Masopust, Darida, Jankto; Schick

After Jan Boril banned, Czech Republic will have to make at least one change from the team that fell 1-0 to England on Tuesday night.

Boril’s absence at left-back is quite a setback for the Czech Republic. Ales Mateju may be able to fill in for him.

Tomas Soucek will be partnered by Alex Kral or Tomas Holes in central midfield on Sunday night.

Netherlands vs Czech Republic Prediction

The Netherlands has outperformed expectations under Frank de Boer at Euro 2020. They breezed through their group, winning three of three games and putting on some fantastic performances in the process. In this match, they are the clear favorites and have had a reasonably smooth path to the final.

Czech Republic is placed in top third and qualified for the round of 16. They drew 1-1 with Croatia and in their final group match only lost 1-0 to England. They’ve won their last two games with the Netherlands, as well as four of their last six, but they’re heavy underdogs on Sunday.

De Boer’s Oranje, on the other hand, has quality in abundance in all areas of the pitch and have firmly established a marker with their group-stage exploits, so we can only back them to safely advance to the final eight.

Our Prediction: Netherlands 2-0 Czech Republic
