From 16th August this camp will be held in Jamshedpur. Earlier, the Chief Minister of the state Hemant Soren had expressed his desire to organize an Indian football team camp to develop Jharkhand as a hub of women’s football.
Even during the coronavirus transition period, the training of the players involved in the World Cup Under-17 National football team of Jharkhand took place here. Players will be groomed for the Asia Cup women’s football team in this camp starting from August 16. The Asia Cup will be organized from 20 January 2022 to 6 February 2022.
The camp for the national team will be organized under the supervision of the Sports Department Jharkhand and Football Federation. 30 players from the senior women’s team and eight coaching staff members will join the camp. The camp will be organized at Tata Football Academy, Jamshedpur. Sumati Kumari of Jharkhand has also been included in the World Cup Under-17 National Team in this camp to be organized for the Asia Cup.
