In front of the empty stands of the Olimpico stadium in Rome, Napoli beat Juventus 4-2 in a better penalty shootout after that the club won the Italian Cup for the sixth time in its history.

The match finished without goals after 90 minutes, so the winner was determined with shots from the white spot.

At Juventus, the first two players were inaccurate. Paulo Dybala’s shot was saved by Alex Meret, while Danilo shot over the goal. Lorenzo Insigne on the other hand, Matteo Politano was precise, so Napoli took the lead with 2-0.

Leonardo Bonucci and Aaron Ramsey Juve’s score was not enough because Nikola Maksimovic and Arkadiusz Milik were precise for Napoli and the great celebration of “Partenope”.

The only previous Coppa Italia final between these teams was in 2012, and Napoli won 2-0 thanks to goals from Edinson Cavani and Marek Hamsik.

Remaining in a 13 titles record Juve suffered its sixth defeat in the 19th final, and this is Napoli’s sixth Cup title in the tenth final.

The first games are scheduled for this Saturday, after the Cup, Serie A continues.

One point ahead than Lazio, Juventus leads the table.
