To reinforce other areas of his squad West Ham United manager David Moyes is looking to generate funds by selling Brazilian winger Felipe Anderson this summer, according to The Times.

The 27-year-old did not do enough to help escape the drop in the club’s battle and scored only once in 24 league appearances, it seems like Anderson has had a disappointing campaign.

With a then club record of £36 million, The Hammers made ways to bring Anderson from Lazio to London Stadium in the summer of 2018.

Scoring nine goals and registering four assists, the Brazil international impressed by his debut campaign, but over the past 12 months he has not lived up to the hype.

Anderson, who earns £85,000 per week, still has two years left on his contract with West Ham and the club will look at cash in as he is attracting interest from clubs abroad.

With just three games left, the Hammers, currently 16th, are looking to hold on to their top-flight status, and today’s six-pointer against 17th-placed Watford – who are only behind them on goal difference – could go a long way in determining their fate.

As Anderson is not fully fit he is not expected to play a part in the clash and it remains to be seen if he’ll be ready for the games against Manchester United and Aston Villa.

Writing about football is one of my favorite things to do. As a football writer, I love the rush of being in the stadium on game day and watching all the action live. It's like no other feeling for me. I'm passionate about writing about it, but until recently I've been doing it as a hobby rather than a profession.
