Morocco star Ounahi is confused about his big club’s future. Azzedine Ounahi has received much interest from a number of major teams following a good World Cup campaign, but he has not yet made up his mind about staying with Angers. Ounahi made a vital contribution to Morocco being the first African nation to get to the World Cup semifinals with his combative and disciplined midfield efforts. As a result, several prominent teams, notably Napoli of Serie A, have indicated an interest in acquiring the player. The Ligue 1 club has already received approaches from “big clubs,” according to Angers’ president.
“Today we all know that there exist interested clubs,” Ounahi said in a statement posted to the Angers website. There will be a choice to be made, and that choice, most significantly, has to be the right one. It will be important for my career. The result is still uncertain. Will I agree to this and leave in January? Will I join the team, assist it while I’m here, and then leave this summer? I’m not yet certain.
He was added: “In order to make the greatest choice, I’m looking forward to the upcoming days and weeks. Every day, I speak with the president. We’ll decide what’s best for both my career and the club.” The Moroccan is most likely going to participate in Angers’ Ligue 1 encounter against Ajaccio on December 28.
