Monaco sacked Robert Moreno after only seven months in charge of the Ligue 1 club.

As they were seventh in the table last December the 42-year-old took charge -they finally placed ninth before the season was suspended early owing to the coronavirus pandemic.

“Our roads split earlier than planned,” revealed Monaco vice-president Oleg Petrov.

“Robert has done everything possible to make the squad stronger.”

AFP news agency reported that Moreno is stated to be replaced by former coach Niko Kovac of Bayern Munich.

Writing about football is one of my favorite things to do. As a football writer, I love the rush of being in the stadium on game day and watching all the action live. It's like no other feeling for me. I'm passionate about writing about it, but until recently I've been doing it as a hobby rather than a profession.
