The tournament will be played without fans at ESPN’s Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World, for the opening round the league’s 26 teams will be split into six groups.

On March 12 due to the coronavirus outbreak, the league suspended play, before that to start the season teams had only played two games.

The players will be sequestered in a resort with a rigorous test protocol while in Florida.

Each squad will have three group matches, played over 16 sequential days, with various games per day. Group matches will count towards standings for the regular season.

With the winner earning a spot in the Concacaf Champions League in 2021, sixteen teams advance to the knockout round, according to The Guardian.

The teams will resume the season in their home markets following the tournament.

On 24 June, teams will start arriving for the training. Those who have already been in the market training will arrive no later than seven days before their first match.
