Gianluca Mancini, Roma defender has announced that he is positive for coronavirus.

On Monday, at San Siro, Roma will play a derby against Milan, but Mancini will have to miss that and the next few games because he is now going into self-isolation.

“Hello everyone, I tested positive for Covid and as a result, I was quarantined,” Mancini wrote on Instagram.

He said that he is feeling well and that he is already looking forward to returning to the field.

Last night Roma played a Europa League match against Young Boys in Switzerland and the former Atalanta player was not with the rest of the team.

Apart from Mancini, Chris Smalling will also miss the duel between Milan and Roma due to injury.

Writing about football is one of my favorite things to do. As a football writer, I love the rush of being in the stadium on game day and watching all the action live. It's like no other feeling for me. I'm passionate about writing about it, but until recently I've been doing it as a hobby rather than a profession.
