Speaking in his press conference ahead of Paris Saint-Germain’s match against Strasbourg tomorrow, Mauricio Pochettino has indicated that he would likely stay at the club next season, along with Kylian Mbappé.
His words transcribed in L’Équipe, the Argentine was asked to give the likelihood, as a percentage, for both of them remaining in Paris past this summer, stating that it was “100% in both cases.”
Pochettino then elaborated on Mbappé, with the Frenchman himself has indicated that he has not decided on his future yet, with his contract expiring this summer.
With the Ligue 1 title wrapped up, it remains unclear whether he will sign a contract extension on the move on to Real Madrid, which he pushed for last summer, or even go to a third club.
“That’s what I can see today, and it’s what I feel. But then in football, you can expect anything.”
PSG has needed to fix their midfield and bring in a player that’s on or above the level of Verratti.
Last summer, the capital club brought Georginio Wijnaldum from Liverpool FC, but it hasn’t worked.
As a result, PSG hopes bringing a particular player home can light a fire under him and elevate the Ligue 1 side’s midfield position.
According to Paris Fans, Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is ready to join PSG when his deal expires in June.
The French media outlet states that Pogba intends to sign a four-year contract with Les Parisiens.
And this deal will see the 29-year-old earn €20-million per year.
Paris Fans preach that the deal is far from done, as other clubs are courting Pogba.
And the last-minute swoop to convince the France international to head elsewhere can still occur.
Nonetheless, if these other clubs fail to convince Pogba to ditch PSG, the midfielder will be heading home this summer.
So whether this deal works out in terms of on-the-pitch success will have many watching once again.
