Hertha Berlin confirmed that Matteo Guendouzi had been tested coronavirus positive.
The Arsenal midfielder was on international duty with France Under-21.
It has been confirmed that he has contracted Covid-19 and obligated to follow a 10-days self-isolation period.
In a statement on Twitter, Hertha wrote: “Matteo Guendouzi tested Covid-19 positively after returning from international duty.”
“There has been no contact with any Hertha players or staff. He is symptom-free and feeling well, but will now self-isolate for 10 days.”
Guendouzi signed a season-long loan agreement with Hertha in the summer.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta previously addressed the future of Guendouzi at the Emirates and suggested that the center could still have a future with the Gunners.
