This season Barcelona played without winning a major trophy and has faced the unfortunate year, as was the case in 2013/14 when Tata Martino was a coach.
The Argentine had special praise for Arturo Vidal and discussed the current problems at the Camp Nou.
“I must question myself-is the Barcelona DNA still so strongly represented after the departure of Xavi and Andreas Iniesta in recent years?” he said during a conversation with Todos Somos Tecnicos (via Marca).
“I believe Barcelona want to find different forms of players. I like Arturo Vidal in particular. I might have done that while I was in Barcelona if it was possible.”
“He’s the center of the squad right now because he’s committed, works hard, gets into the field, and scores goals.”
