This season Barcelona played without winning a major trophy and has faced the unfortunate year, as was the case in 2013/14 when Tata Martino was a coach.

The Argentine had special praise for Arturo Vidal and discussed the current problems at the Camp Nou.

“I must question myself-is the Barcelona DNA still so strongly represented after the departure of Xavi and Andreas Iniesta in recent years?” he said during a conversation with Todos Somos Tecnicos (via Marca).

“I believe Barcelona want to find different forms of players. I like Arturo Vidal in particular. I might have done that while I was in Barcelona if it was possible.”

“He’s the center of the squad right now because he’s committed, works hard, gets into the field, and scores goals.”

Writing about football is one of my favorite things to do. As a football writer, I love the rush of being in the stadium on game day and watching all the action live. It's like no other feeling for me. I'm passionate about writing about it, but until recently I've been doing it as a hobby rather than a profession.
