Martial’s return could ask Ronaldo for the bench once again in Man United’s clash with Newcastle. According to coach Erik ten Hag, Anthony Martial might be a candidate to start against Newcastle for Manchester United on Sunday. Martial needed to be replaced by Cristiano Ronaldo after suffering an injury in the first half of United’s 2-1 victory over Everton last week. Ten Hag is awaiting additional evaluations with the intention of having the French forward available for the Premier League game on Sunday at Old Trafford.

According to Ten Hag, Anthony Martial may be, but we’ll have to see how it plays out over the next several hours, there’s a high chance that Man United can overcome the fears and score better this time but without Ronaldo could be a choice that Ten Hag has to make. Martial says I’m not sure if he added the club’s webpage right now. It’s still too early to comment on it. We must wait and monitor its development during the ensuing hours. Of course, we hope he will be available, but in the event that he isn’t, we do it with other players as it always comes down to the players that are available. As you can see, we have a strong squad, and substitutes can also make a difference.

With a late double in United’s 6-3 loss to Manchester City, Martial cemented his spot in the first squad and that was prominent that it happens. Being limited to just one Premier League start this season, the 26-year-comeback old’s could result in Cristiano Ronaldo being benched once more, not sure if this could happen but there’s a high chance. After playing Newcastle on Sunday, the Red Devils will host Tottenham on October 19.
