To offer a new contract to Mason Greenwood following questions about the activities of the youngster off the pitch, Manchester United has reportedly paused plans.

The United Chiefs are worried that Greenwood is not taking the best care of his health off the pitch-with fears that the teenager is sleep-deprived-and at this moment in time the Red Devils are unwilling to offer him a new contract, claims The Athletic.

The report also indicates that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer phoned Southgate informing the manager of England that he did not want Greenwood to be chosen for this international match round, and United believes that the 19-year-old may not follow the rules of limiting contact outside his social bubble.

The Englishman is yet to get off the mark in the current Premier League campaign, and Greenwood did not play a part in United’s 3-1 win over Everton.
