As Sheffield United was beaten on Wednesday night Manchester United star Anthony Martial scored a hat-trick.
Manchester United star Anthony Martial has now progressed on his club’s best-ever annual goal tally. As Sheffield United was beaten 3-0 at Old Trafford, France International scored a spectacular hat-trick in the Premier League clash between the two clubs. Under the guidance of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who is continuing to improve, it was a good afternoon for the 24-year-old.
For Manchester United, Martial has now scored 19 goals this season.
He opened the scoring in the seventh minute, as three times he found the net against Sheffield United, meeting the powerful cross of Marcus Rashford to cover Simon Moore past ball in the goal.
Before executing a chip successfully in the second half for his sixth, shortly before the interval Martial then got his second goal for United finishing from close range after a precise pass by Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
And now he’s improved his best-ever tally for the club which came under Louis van Gaal in the 2015/2016 season.
In summer 2015 the Frenchman joined the Monaco club, making Van Gaal a replacement for Radamel Falcao and Robin van Persie.
