Manchester United is avoiding competition from bitter rivals Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain to secure the signing of Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly
Recent reports suggest that the United has been given the green light to the Senegal international for a £74 m move and the center-back has been closely linked to the move to Old Trafford in the last few months.
Napoli is said to have resigned to losing Koulibaly when the transfer window reopens, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side could face stiff competition for the 28-year-old’s signature.
During the injury-hit 2019-20 campaign, Koulibaly made 15 Serie A appearances for Napoli. For the same Man City and PSG are in the hunt to sign Koulibaly, According to La Repubblica.
Since the defender arrived from Genk in 2014 he has scored 10 goals in 233 Italian team appearances in all competitions.
