Fabio Capello watched Real Madrid win championship as a fan, spending his post-lockdown break in Marbella.

The Real Madrid team has been declared champions of LaLiga Santander.

In both 1997 and 2007, the Italian was a Spanish champion with Los Blancos in his own bench spell.

It was an atypical season but it was Real Madrid who captured the title, Capello told Marca.

They played the division’s finest game, scored goals and refused to surrender. Madrid broke the hegemony of Barcelona and took advantage of its decline. But we must be clear-Madrid won the championship on its own terms, not because of errors made by others.

Barcelona is five points behind Real who took first place in the championship of Spain.

Writing about football is one of my favorite things to do. As a football writer, I love the rush of being in the stadium on game day and watching all the action live. It's like no other feeling for me. I'm passionate about writing about it, but until recently I've been doing it as a hobby rather than a profession.
