Luis Enrique was inspired by the Adama Traore’s first minutes for La Roja, and despite his debut in Spain, the winger is still qualified for Mali.

As he seemed to nail his colours to the Spanish mast,  Luis Enrique thought Adama Traore displayed his “purest form” in a vibrant international debut.

The Spanish-born star appeared from the bench for just 28 minutes but created a huge opportunity for Dani Olmo, who shot Traore’s club colleague and Portugal goalkeeper Rui Patricio directly.

“Adama has been Adama in his purest form,” Luis Enrique said of Traore according to Goal, who was marked by Nelson Semedo, yet another Wolves man.

“That is what we want him to be, with his ability to beat opponents. He has played a killer pass to Dani Olmo that did not lead to a goal.”

“With one player they will not be able to stop him. They are going to have to use two players.”

Writing about football is one of my favorite things to do. As a football writer, I love the rush of being in the stadium on game day and watching all the action live. It's like no other feeling for me. I'm passionate about writing about it, but until recently I've been doing it as a hobby rather than a profession.
