Joachim Löw, the head coach of the German national team conversed on the principles of team formation.
“Now I plan to build the team without Thomas Muller, Mats Hummels, and Jerome Boateng. If the situation changes before the Euro, if we lose a lot of players, then I will change my view of the situation. Now I see no reason [to invite them],” said Löw at the press conference.
He also spoke out about Mario Gotze.
“I am very happy for him. His goal in the final of the 2014 World Cup was of course not only very important but also set a high standard of expectations,” added Löw.
“I supported his decision to leave the Bundesliga. He is playing great now, but he needs time. He hasn’t been on the field in a long time.”
