After Thiago Alcântara’s transfer from Bayern Munich is complete, Liverpool is close to signing an agreement with Wolves to sign the forward Diogo Jota.
The Dutch center-back would have been worth around £10 m but Wolves want around £40 m for Jota.
Wolves are also exploring the possibility of part-exchanging the 18-year-old Ki-Jana Hoever.
Jota wants to join Liverpool and the preference of Nuno Espírito Santo is to allow players to leave if they do not wish to be at Wolves anymore.
For Stoke’s Carabao Cup defeat, Jota was left out of the squad on Thursday and is expected to sign a Liverpool contract by 2025.
